About Tulli Perry | UK Contemporary Figurative Abstract Artist

From my studio in a barn in Middle England, I work full-time as a UK-based figurative abstract artist. My background in fashion design and illustration has deeply influenced my artistic development, shaping my focus on fluidity, form, and expressive abstraction.

I primarily use acrylics, building multiple layers of paint and selectively removing them through techniques like sgraffito, water lifting, and drip methods. This layering and subtraction process creates rich colours, textures, and a captivating sense of depth and complexity in each contemporary abstract artwork.

By incorporating unpredictable elements such as water lifting, I balance control and spontaneity, blending intention with chance to embrace the organic nature of my materials. The resulting paintings are deeply personal and unique, capturing the essence of my interaction with the moment, medium, and the evolving UK contemporary art scene.
