Tulli Perry is a British abstract artist recognised for her distinctive water-subtraction technique, a process in which layered acrylic surfaces are dissolved, lifted and reworked to reveal quiet tonal shifts and embedded histories. Her paintings are defined by their subtle monochromatic depth, refined surfaces and the interplay between controlled intervention and organic transformation.
Perry’s practice is grounded in a material sensitivity that prioritises nuance over gesture. Through repeated cycles of application and removal, she creates surfaces that hold traces of time, erosion and renewal, resulting in works that feel both deliberate and atmospheric.
